Storm in a D Cup prides itself on helping you find pretty and practical bras that support you throughout the day, but we also want to be there for you at night time too. We carry a fantastic range of lounge/sleepwear (sometimes called sloungewear) that will support you all through the night as well as the morning after. Hands up if the first thing you do in the morning is get dressed so you can put your bra on? Wouldn’t you love to be able to read the sunday papers and have your morning coffee/breakfast/brunch/stretch while still in your PJs? Then consider a sleep bra - they are great for the mornings and they hold the girls in place while you sleep too. The Sugar Candy bra is great for this and specifically made for larger cups, it fits E to HH cups comfortably.
They aren’t so much in fashion nowadays, but don’t underestimate the power of a bodysuit. We’ve got some amazing stunning bodysuits for women from Primadonna, created from exquisite lace that disguises a tummy control panel and has built in cups. To wear a bodysuit that is bra sized, you have to take into consideration your body length, so you may have to go up or down a body size accordingly. If you do, don’t forget to go up a cup size if you go down in the body, or down a cup size if you go up. This is called sister sizing and you can read more about it here. Otherwise do away with sister sizing completely and get a cup-less bodysuit. Simone Perele make a great one - a bodysuit without cups just means you wear your own bra under it.
When it comes to corsets, modern lingerie doesn’t come with whale bone, or even steel bones. The bones in the Lace Bustier or Adelaide Basque are made with plastic bones which is a bit more forgiving than steel. There’s even boning in the cups which makes a cup for your boobs to sit in without any bulk, and the added length and firmness in the body all goes towards holding up your bust.
We also have some pretty babydolls that are bra sized, too. You can wear them out under your clothes or wear them to bed - a word of advice though, if you plan to wear them to bed, go up a back size (and down a cup) so that its not to firm to sleep in. The support of a bra comes from the back band, and you don’t need a lot of support when you’re lying down.
